This is such a precious time for you and your new family, and it goes by so fast! Those first couple weeks are such a blur, and as your Hamilton newborn photographer, I’m here to capture those tiny little hands, those sweet little toes, and every detail of your beautiful baby that you will cherish forever.
I provide everything needed for a safe and lovely newborn photography session. All newborn wraps, clothes, props, backdrops, headbands and hats. You also have use of my client closet for mom and daughter outfits, for the family portion of your newborn session, if you so choose.
Your Hamilton Newborn Photography session typically takes place within the
first 14 days after birth, at my home studio located in Burlington, Ontario. A detailed client preparation guide will be sent to you before your session to help you get ready for your newborn photography session.
Fill out the contact form and we can discuss what your due date is, and what your newborn session looks like. Ask me any questions you might have.
Sessions are tentatively booked based on your due date, and a signed agreement and retainer. Once baby has arrived, we will choose a mutually convenient date. If baby is already here, we will book a date as soon as possible.
I will send a very detailed how to prepare for your newborn session guide.
If you are doing family photos, they will be completed at the beginning of the session. Then you get to sit back and relax, maybe get in a little snooze, while I photograph your baby on their own.
We would have already discussed the colours and props you prefer. Everything will be ready to go at the session so things flow smoothly. Depending on the type of session you choose will determine how long the session will be.
Your online proof gallery will be sent within 2-3 weeks after your session date. I will provide you all the instructions on how to choose your photos.
At that time, you can choose if you wish to purchase digital photos, prints, albums, wall art, etc.

Amanda was the baby whisper... at first Amanda tried to walk me through doing pictures at home so she can edit them for me due to Covid, but defiantly I struggled with it. Amanda at Gibson Photography is an absolute pleasure to work with. She is creative, organized, so so kind, professional, and very talented. We have had engagement, first look, wedding, boudoir, maternity, newborn and mother’s day photos taken with her and she does not disappoint! Her style is elegant and simple but has a creative edge and we love the focus on nature she always incorporates into her shots. She has wonderful visions and loves new ideas from the families she works with from colours to props to settings. I’ve always been jealous that we have not yet been able to do a mini session with her yet but that hopefully won’t last long. Some of the biggest things we appreciate about Amanda is how comfortable she makes you feel when directing you in the shoots.
