What to do at Burlington Splash Pads?

Who doesn’t love water fun?!?  Here are a few fun tips when you are going to Burlington Splash Pads!

  1. Make sure you wear the appropriate clothes, a bathing suit and water shoes are great choices!  Do not forget your towels, sunscreen, a hat, and a change of clothes.
  2. Splash pads offer different water features like spraying fountains, sprinklers, and water jets!  Have fun with it!  Make it a game, like musical chairs, every time the water sprinkler goes off run to another, and freeze!
  3. Bring water toys!  Beach balls, water guns, inflatable toys.  There are reusable water balloons on Amazon, take them with you!  There is no mess, and endless fun!
  4. Have water races, with your water shoes on!  Play water volley ball, and Marco Polo is always a water fun game!
  5. Pack a picnic!  Playing in the water can make you hungry, however, you don’t want to leave just to eat.  Take some time to refuel and then get back to it!
  6. Don’t forget to bring a waterporrof camera.  Your kids will love taking pictures and videos they can look back at!

Burlington Ontario has 9 Splash Pads and 3 pools/splash parks.

Brant Hills Splash Pad

2300 Duncaster Drive
Burlington, Ontario

This new splash pad opened in Summer 2021.  There is lots of parking and has tennis courts, a skateboarding area, play structure and sports fields all in the same area.  This is a smaller splash pad with some fountains and sprinklers.  Its a great spot for little ones, however, it might be a bit boring for older kids.   If you are coming for a photography session with Gibson Photography, and are taking your toddler out after your family photos, this is a great place to take them!

Mountain Side Pool and Splash Park

2205 Mount Forest Drive
Burlington, Ontario

Mountainside Pool is an outdoor pool that is over 50 years old.  The City of Burlington had a revitalization plan that began in Spetember 2021.  The pool was scheduled to reopen in August 2022, however due to trade strikes it remained closed!  Great news!  The pool reopened this past Canada Day long weekend June 30th, 2023!  The pool has water spray features, a climbing wall, accessibility ramps, a waterslide, a new pool with a beach entry with (3) 50M lap lanes!

LaSalle Wading Pool & Splash Pad

50 North Shore Blvd. E
Burlington, Ontario

My family loves attending this wading pool and splash bad.  It has a 2.5 foot deep wading pool and some sprinklers and water features.  This is more a relaxed sitting and cooling off type of pool, rather than swimming, and running around like you would at a pool or a splash pad.  There is a cost for children to attend this pool.  Adults are free with a paying child admission.
