Noah’s mom contacted me to do Noah’s Cake Smash Session Burlington, On, and she knew what she wanted it to be. She wanted a nautical theme for Noah’s Cake Smash Session Burlington, On. I was so happy to hear this, because I love getting different theme’s to play around with. The funny thing about nautical theme is that it is very American with the red, white and blue, and another funny coincidence, the session was on July 4th!
Noah is the third boy in this family, and he did such an amazing job for his cake smash. I had done his older brother Liam’s Cake Smash session as well! This nautical themed giant cupcake was the perfect addition to Noah’s Cake Smash Session Burlington, On. Of course the cake was created by Laura from Caked – The Cupcake Company, and was delicious as always! I also loved all the little details on the cake. The life preserver, etc. was so perfect! This has to be one of my favourites. I also loved the owl cake she did for another session!
Cake Smashes, 1st birthday photography sessions are one of my favourites to photograph, but also sometimes the hardiest. Babies turning 1 are sometimes shy, sometimes textures are too much for the baby, and sometimes just being somewhere they don’t know makes it very scary for them. I have a few tricks to try to get them to eat the cake, and make a mess, but some babies just don’t want to. I have never not gotten any photos though, so even if baby is crying, it is what it is, and for a cake smash they don’t have to be looking perfect at the camera. It’s about capturing this milestone in their lives. Noah however, did not cry, and got into his cake, and made a mess and it was just great!
