I had such a fun time at this Distillery District Portrait Session with Jacqueline and her friends. I was contacted on Facebook by a friend of Jaculine’s with an awesome request to photograph a group of five ladies who have been friends for over 35 years! The friends were visiting from Brazil, and were only here for a short time! They had a great idea to have a portrait session to document their friendship! They plan to do a session like this every year! Some of the ladies have never been to Canada, and for some had never even been out of Brazil!
Jacqueline and I discussed where were were going to do the portrait session. She had suggested either Niagara-On-The-Lake, or the Distillery District in downtown Toronto. In the end we went with the Distillery District Portrait Session. I absolutely LOVE being in the Distillery District, it is such a cool place. It is similar to Village Square in Downtown Burlington, but a lot bigger! We photographed a wedding in the Distillery District a few years ago, but I don’t often get to go there, so it was a nice treat for me.
As I mentioned these ladies have been friends for over 35 years, and this Distillery District Portrait Session was a great opportunity to have fun and create memories! These ladies have so much fun together and are constantly laughing and joking around. It was quite a windy cold night for this Distillery District Portrait Session. Especially for these ladies who are used to much warmer weather! They were freezing, but they made the best of it! The ladies brought the balloons and bubbles, but with the wind made it a little difficult. I still think it looked awesome with their coloured shirts!
Here are some photos from their Distillery District Portrait Session!
