It is so much fun getting the chance to design cake smash sets in the studio. This Minnie Mouse Cake Smash photography session is no different! Ariyanna’s Mom contacted me with the idea to have a Minnie Mouse Cake Smash, and I was so excited for it! Previously I have done a Mickey Mouse Cake Smash photography session but this was the first time doing a Minnie Mouse cake smash.
Once I hear what theme the client would like for their cake smash, I start to think of different props that will work. For this session I also provided the outfit for the Minnie Mouse Cake Smash as well. Mom brought the Minnie ears though! Some themes I have outfits that will work. Sometimes I don’t, but I can work with you to figure out what will work with the set and theme you have chosen.
When you show up for your session, we are pretty much ready to go! Some babies are really great like Ariyanna loved her cake smash session and she wasn’t shy at all! She got right in there! Which is what we hope for every cake smash, but often it turns out differently. We have to remember this is an age that kids have separation anxiety, and being in a strange place is hard from anyone at any age. But do not worry, I have a few tricks to try to get them to participate and be happy!
Ariyanna was such a great pleasure during this session. It is always so great when I get to see a baby that I photographed as a newborn. I also did her mom’s maternity session as well! I adore repeat clients! Building that relationship with families is one of the perks of this amazing job I get to do!
