This Royal Botanical Gardens Wedding was a perfect Sunday Brunch Wedding. It is nice to every once in a while get the opportunity to photograph a different type of wedding! This wedding was on a Sunday afternoon at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington, Ontario. A great venue to have your ceremony, photos and reception all in one spot! It also offers a great location to take indoor photos in the Mediterranean Gardens in case of cold weather or rain. Like at Jay in Debbie’s wedding in the summer.
Joan and Bill live in British Columbia, and contacted me via email and phone to hire Gibson Photography to take the photos for their wedding. I seriously don’t think I have met such a sweet lovely couple! It was such a nice afternoon wedding. Considering it was November, I wasn’t so sure the weather was going to be warm enough to have the ceremony in the outdoor tented area, but it was a beautiful day! The sun was shinning, and we were not freezing! Which is always a plus!
After the ceremony we took family formal photos in the outdoor area under the tent, and then headed into the Mediterranean Gardens to take some wedding party and bride and groom wedding photos. Being that it was a Sunday afternoon wedding, we virtually had all of the Royal Botanical Gardens to ourselves. After taking the formal wedding photos, we headed back over to the reception hall to enjoy some lovely brunch. The food was very good and nice to have some different food like omelettes at a wedding reception. Sunday Afternoon or Morning Weddings are becoming much more popular, and Gibson Photography loves doing them!
Reverend Deborah Coleman did such a beautiful service, and had some very unique elements to the service. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a minister for your wedding.
