The first word that comes to my mind when I think of this wedding is, COLD! It definitely was cold for this Flamborough Hills Fall Wedding! The ceremony took place on the outside terrace and was 45 minutes long. I think this was probably the coldest day so far this year. We are just around the corner from Christmas, and we have warmer weather now then we did at this Flamborough Hills Fall Wedding!
Despite the cold, outdoor ceremonies at Golf Courses are such a popular choice for weddings, and a great choice! There are not a lot of venues that allow for the ceremony, photos and reception to be held at the same place but a golf course offers all of that!
Because of how cold it was we unfortunately did not get too much time to take outdoor photos on the beautiful property at Flamborough Hills Golf + Country Club. However, the end of the evening made up for it with a gorgeous sunset! We also did some late night photos with some fun lighting!
As a wedding photographer we like to have as much time as possible to take those special photos of the bride and groom. Sometimes with venues that do have the ceremony, photos and reception all at the same place it is harder to get that time because the events start later and are closer together. This is when sometimes it is a good idea to do first look photos or try to space out the time between the ceremony and reception start time. After all, this is what the whole day is about, the bride and groom, and at the end of the day, these are the memories that you will want to have documented for the rest of your life! The food and the party are great, but you can’t share it with people who are not there!
