I just love being a Grand Olympia Wedding Photographer, why you might ask? Well, even though it is not the same location as my wedding, which was in Hamilton, Ontario, it is where I got married, and photographing weddings at The Grand Olympia brings back so many great memories of my own special day! The new location is in Stoney Creek, and offers a great all inclusive package. It also offers a location to have your ceremony, reception and take photos! What more could you ask for?
Annie and Steve choose to do some before photos at Dundurn Castle in Hamilton, Ontario. We meet there and took photos of the wedding party, who were such a great bunch, and of course photos of just Steve and Annie. It was a bit chilly, but I was very happy that there was still some Fall leaves on the trees and ground.
After the photos were done we headed over to The Grand Olympia to get ready for the ceremony. After the ceremony we were able to take all the family photos indoors so no one would be cold. A great option when you are having a winter wedding or a backup if it rains.
Being a Grand Olympia Wedding Photographer is so much fun because during the reception they have fireworks that go off. A unique part of the Grand Olympia experience. Another great treat from Annie and Steve’s wedding was when Annie and her dad had their first dance! Not your traditional dance! They were choreographed and it was so much fun!! The bride also had a Nintendo Grooms Cake made. It was so well done! I love getting to experience the best day of a couple’s life with them, and so very honoured that they allow Gibson Photography to be their wedding photographer and preserve these special memories for them!
Annie and Steve Congratulations and all the best in the future! We hope to be a part of your journey as a married couple!
