Here is Katalina’s Cake Smash Hamilton Ontario. Katalina was such a sweetie, but she was not having any part of enjoying that delicious cake, made by the very talented Caked – The Cupcake Company.
It doesn’t take me by surprise when the cake smasher cries or doesn’t want to take part in the cake smash. They are at an age where textures sometimes bother them. Or they are shy in front of someone new. Or the fact that everyone is sitting around starring at them 🙂 A lot of time it is the texture of the cake. but I have a few tricks to try to get them to eat the cake. The best advice I can give to a parent is just try to relax and let them do whatever they are going to do. I’ll try a few tricks, and we will get something. Even if they are crying. I think it’s pretty cute, “It’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to, cry if I want to, cry if I want to”. I hope that got you actually signing the song!!!!
Cake Smashes are some of my most favourite sessions! It’s kids being kids a celebration of life, and the year that they have grown up so much! I love collaborating with parents on the type of session they would like. Katalina’s set is my most popular, and I can see why, I love light pink and grey! The style is just perfect. I do however work with parents ideas as to what they would like the set to look like, and we can figure out some pretty cool sets. One of my favourites was earlier this year, the nautical themed cake smash. I had some of the props and mom brought in some props and it all just came together perfectly.
