Tamahaac Club Wedding

This Tamahaac Club Wedding was the first time we had ever been to this venue. Located in Ancaster Ontario, it overlooks the city on a beautiful property. It is an old mansion house. It was such a super hot day for Alex and Maggie’s wedding. I believe one of the first of the season, but definitely not the last. This summer was a hot one, that’s for sure!

Like what is becoming more popular with regards to weddings, Maggie and Alex decided to do their reveal and formal photos before the ceremony. This are always fun to do. I can’t say which I prefer, I think I enjoy both options 50/50. I do love the tradition of seeing the bride walk down the isle, but I also love the creativity, and the time we get in order to have some additional amazing photo opportunities. And in Maggie and Alex’s case I think it definitely worked out better doing all the photos before hand because the bride and groom weren’t as sweaty, exhausted and dehydrated. After standing in the sun for the ceremony, it allowed them to take a more relaxed approach to formal photography after the ceremony. Also it gave them more time to mingle with their guests before the reception began.

The Tamahaac Club Wedding is a vintage looking venue. And with vintage comes not as many modern amenities, like air conditioning. However, they had fans all over the location, and the windows open, and it wasn’t nearly as hot as you would have expected. It was quite comfortable actually.

There was nice personal touches throughout the wedding, including the Judge who preformed the ceremony, Justice Harrison Arrell, was a neighbour of Maggie’s family. Maggie’s sister Becca did the brides makeup, and she looked beautiful! Some other notable venders are: hair by Neo, Flowers by Westdale Florists, and the DJ was Matt Cully.
