This winter engagement sessions wasn’t as wintery as we had hoped, but then again this whole winter in Ontario, Canada hasn’t been very wintery. It’s like Murphy’s Law, if you hope for snow on your Engagement Session or Wedding, it will not happen, but if you don’t then it will come. Like at last year’s January Winter Engagement Session for Mary and Patrick at Dundurn Castle, who hoped for no snow, and we ended up in a blizzard. Joanne and Artur were hoping for snow, but we ended up with pretty nice warm weather! For January, that’s almost unheard of! However, the sunset we had for this Winter Engagement Session was so unbelievably beautiful, who cares there was no snow! 🙂
Joanne did some research as to what she should wear for Winter Engagement Session Photos, which resulted in the purchase of her awesome red jacket! I just love the way it pops against the lack of colour in the rest of the background. She also found the mugs at Chapters and stopped at Tim Horton’s to get some yummy hot chocolate. Coming with ideas for your Engagement Session is always a welcome part of your session. I want your photos to express your relationship and little things between the two of you makes it extra special.
I also will be doing the hair and makeup for Joanne and her wedding party through my Mobile Hair and Makeup Company, Gibson Glamour In Motion . We had her hair and makeup trial before the Engagement session, but we took her hair out so that Artur didn’t see it! I love getting the opportunity to do hair and makeup as well, as it allows me to express my creative side in a different way, and it also allows to chat with the bride about all the wedding details, that otherwise I don’t get to see until the day of the wedding, and might not realize what certain personal touches mean. It’s a win/win situation 🙂
I am looking forward to Joanne and Artur’s wedding this summer at Casablanca Winery Inn. The weather will be very different!
